Kimmes Country Stores Of Iowa is in the process of interviewing driven candidates for positions at the above locations. The Managers are responsible for store performance in accordance with company standards. They will provide overall leadership for the store and will be responsible for driving sales and profits.

Some areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversee the condition of the store
    Including: cleanliness of the store, customer service, and merchandising
  • Manage quality and consistent marketing and merchandising of store
  • Promote a coaching environment
    Including: recognition of achievements and assisting in helping the team to excel
  • Provide and promote friendly customer service by greeting and assisting customers
  • Maintain 100% in-stock excellence on top selling items
  • Ensure the team is current on product offerings and promotions
  • Engage with team to suggest ways to increase sales
  • Prepare merchandise displays
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive exceptional customer service
  • Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed
  • Implement and enforce policies, goals, and programs
  • Plan and prepare work schedules
  • Delegate and supervise the team in all store responsibilities

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) is required. Two year degree or above is strongly preferred or two years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven success developing a team
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred)
  • PDI/Verifone/Topaz experience preferred)
  • Committed to work flexible hours in a Convenience Retail environment

Kimmes Country Stores Of Iowa is in the process of interviewing driven candidates for positions at the above locations. The Sales Associate is responsible for store performance in accordance with company standards. They will provide remarkable customer service, keep a remarkably clean store, and be remarkably friendly. The Sales Associate will report directly to the Store Manager.

Some areas of responsibility include:

  • The Sales Associate is a key employee whose actions have a direct effect on the store quality for our customers and the resultant profitability of our stores
  • Performs cleaning duties necessary to maintain store cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment and facilities in the store
  • Controls merchandise, cash shortages and other selling expenses
  • Pulls and stocks merchandise promptly from backroom and truck deliveries with proper rotation
  • Fronts, faces and dusts shelves periodically through shift
  • Adheres to safety programs to minimize employee injury
  • Works with others in a team atmosphere to set goals and works together to accomplish them
  • Takes direction from the management team and performs set tasks and duties in a professional way
  • Provides prompt, courteous customer service
  • Helps the management team with training opportunities in developing new associates
  • Complies with all food safety behaviors including proper handling procedures and temperature requirements
  • Provides all customers with remarkable service with a fresh and clean store and friendly service

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

  • High School (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Self-motivated individuals that can also work well with others in a team environment
  • Sales, remarkable customer service, integrity and honesty
